The Valley Gamma Knife Center’s focus on advanced care and quality patient outcomes has been recognized by the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons and the American Society for Radiation Oncology, which has chosen the Valley Gamma Knife Center to participate in its national Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) Registry.
The Valley Gamma Knife Center will be one of only 30 elite, high-volume healthcare sites that have been selected to join the SRS Registry, a joint effort of the AANS and the ASTRO.
Going forward, the center will provide the registry with SRS treatment information for patients who have brain metastases, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) and benign brain tumors. This data will enable the registry to identify patterns of care in radiosurgery in an effort to improve SRS outcomes and potentially lower the cost of care for patients.
