With a 10-point margin, Elekta’s Leksell Gamma Knife® Perfexion™—the model used here at The Gamma Knife Center—topped the 2011 KLAS Radiation Therapy report. The Perfexion scored a 94.4 out of 100 on the report, which ranked six advanced radiation therapy systems, noting that it was “practically perfect in every way.”
The technology is sophisticated, yet easy to use, making treatment of “very complicated tumors in a difficult spot easy for providers,” the report says. “The speed, accuracy, reliability, and sophistication of the treatments all came together for the Gamma Knife Perfexion to earn the highest score in the study.”
The No. 2 ranking was also given to an Elekta therapy system, the Infinity™, giving patients even more confidence in the brand’s ability to treat cancer and neurological disorders.
