The Gamma Knife Center at The Valley Hospital is staffed by highly qualified Valley physicians, who have treated thousands of patients and have more than 15 years of experience. The Center is led by Co-Directors Anthony D’Ambrosio, M.D., a board-certified neurosurgeon, who has conducted more than 100 radiosurgical procedures in his career, and Chad DeYoung, M.D., a board-certified radiation oncologist. The Gamma Knife team also includes Susan Visco, R.N., and Kelly LoPresti, R.N., B.S.N., our Nurse Navigators, and Michael F. Wesson, M.D., and Thomas Kole, M.D., Ph.D., our highly experienced radiation oncologists.
Patients at The Institute for Brain and Spine Radiosurgery at The Blumenthal Cancer Center, where The Gamma Knife Center is located, also benefit from a multidisciplinary approach that integrates the skills and expertise of many different specialists—neurologists, neurosurgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, neuro-radiologists, a neuro-psychologist and a highly skilled nursing team—who utilize the latest evidence-based stereotactic radiosurgical techniques.
